Hi all,

How do you get the creases out of a carpet?? I recently decided to decorate a room, and folded the carpet up and shoved it into another room, where it has sat for 2 months ( not a fast decorator ). I laid it back down today, and it is full of very strong creases where it had been folded, looks really horrid. Can I put a towel or something over the creases and iron them flat? or does anyone have any other ideas? all input appreciated.
Thanks,
Annie.

It'll soon be flat again after it's been walked on for a while.
Advice I was given over 40 yrs ago by Professional Carpet Fitters who had done it on a wool carpet in premises of their firms boss... Soak the areas concerned with water and, providing it is fixed on all sides, just allow it to dry out for a day or so. It will tighten up as it dries.

I guess you could put a Fan Heater in the room to hasten the process.
