Having trouble with the last few.

Lodge is empty? Keep on working?(6,4)
pattern:
- - A - E -/ A - A - (I'm pretty sure the 2nd word is AWAY

Fragrant old girl with collection of books(7)
pattern
O - O - A - T
The words I found didn't seem to fit the clue.

After early start, this girl finds tiny wild flower(5)
pattern:
- - N - Y (Thought this one was pansy but couldn't understand where the 'early' came in)

I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks for all your very quick answers!

I've had beaver away all day but tried to find how that works with 'lodge'?
Also, the 'B' is the last letter of an answer needed which reads"turned up, to deliver a deliberate insult(4) If it is B then I can put BARB in, but that in turn puts an 'A' at the beginning of the ....tiny wild flower clue.

I'm going around in circles!
Question Author
Sorry, I meant to say, now I understand the answer to the fragrant one. NT, New Testament!

Thank you for that one as well.
A lodge is a beaver's home
Beavers live in lodges, hibiscusrose, that's the name of their dens.

The turned up clue sounds like SNUB - dual meaning, snub nose = turned up at the end, to snub is to ignore/insult
Question Author
Thanks boxtops and euphemia, I didn't know that about beavers.

Also, I'm seeing about working 'snub' into the final answer

Thanks again
