Buttons in the wrong place???

Hi. I've just got a new laptop, and have a slight problem. If you press shift 2, I get an @ sign instead of " and if I press shift ' I get " instead of @. I hope this makes sense. In otherwords, he two buttons have switched functions. Can this be corrected?

In the control panel you shoudl be able to change the keyboard settings from US to UK. That should do the trick.
