how do people claim d l a if they have nothing wrong with them. you have to get doctors signatures and all sorts of things to back you up.

my dad has d.la, and he has to have a letter from his doctor and specialists on a regular basis to qualify for the benefits, they also send an assessor out to see if you are who and what you say you are...hope this helps

exactly. i was turned down recently and i have got doctors notes and all sorts off proof that i am unwell. i don't understand how people can get past all these obstacles when they have nothing wrong with them. something is not right with the system.

rjrakr, the letter informing you of the Decision will have explained the options and time limits if you are unhappy wi the Decision. Have you considered asking Welfare Rights or CAB for advice? They can represent you and  ask questions on yir behalf as long as you give yir consent.
