if you listen to a tape of knowledge when you sleep will you remember it?

im wondering because of exams and would it work if i listen to them at night to assist wiht my studying?

im fairly sure it doesnt, i had a mate who hated revision and he tried this he had to cram at the last minute and got poor results

it just because you get those tapes to help you stop smoking that you listen to when you're asleep so i thought hey might be the same lol.
I know someone who listened to tapes of his stuff when he was awake, not sure how well it worked though, what exam do you have?
 There are cd's you can buy that you play at night and which play music containing subliminal messages within the music. There are various cd's available check out the site www.innertalk.co.uk

its just your standard exams, but i thought i would try it because someone told me it works but i wasn't too sure!
In ye olden days when I was studying Psychology, the evidence suggested that you either had a decent sleep and learned nothing or had a rubbishy interrupted sleep, felt knackered the next day and what little (if any) you had managed to learn wasn't really of any use to you by then as you had all the other baggage to contend with.

Sadly, good old fashioned studying (and perhaps mnemonics) are the best bet.
