hi,we bought some patio doors from a reputable firm locally,we got our joiner to fit them and was fine.the mechanism on the lock wouldn't work over the weekend so been unable to lock it.
we have rung them and they said because they didn't fit it it's nothing to do with them, but it is a fault with the lock ,not how they were fitted!
is there some consumer rights here we can argue with them about instead of them just fobbing us off?

We had a conservatory built over a year ago and have had problems with our doors ever since. You need to adjust the sliders (metal plates) at the side of your doors. You need an allan key to do this. Good luck

we have already had to this, but now the handle just goes up and down really loosely,as if its not connecting to the key lock if that makes sense?
Why not ask them to come out on the understanding that if it is your error you pay and if it is theirs they repair?
Like this some manufacturers, no problem, they can guarantee anything, if there is a problem, this problem does not belong to the scope of their protection. We are also very angry.
