memory cards - how many photos does a card with 512mb of memory hold and how many minutes of film footage will it hold ??? thanks

It usually says on the box but depends on the image resolution (no pixels of the camera) and length of film recording.  I have a 128mb card and it holds roughly 120 pics and a couple of short films (3 m. pixel camera).  see

Depends on the resolution you set you camera at - low resolution lots of photographs - high resolution then less!
