(Nowt rude - I'm trying to tone down the rudeness. By Gad, it's hard...)
Anyway, every day I drive past a small bungalow on my way to & from work. A very unpretentious bungalow, a bit dated - circa early 70's, probably 2-bedroomed owned by some pensioners, Net curtains, a couple of gnomes, not much of a garden. Room enough to park one car.

Anyway, recently the bunga-holders have purchased 2 enormous (must be at least 5') white stone lions which they've placed at the entrance of their tiny driveway. The sort of stone lions best suited to a mini-stately home or footballers' WAGs mansions.

Delusions of Grandeur? What the hell, they always make me titter. I bet they are so proud of their Proud Lions guarding the entrance of their Domain.

And no, I'm not being snobby. But they're as out of place as Pippa Middleton at a Fat Arses' Convention.

did they win the Euros £161 million perhaps?

Bless them.
How lovely. I wonder where they bought them. If I can find out I shall buy a couple. Look nice outside my ex-council house.
maybe, just maybe they were a present and they have to show willing ? maybe they won them at an OAP convention ? or maybe they were on their "things to do before we reach 80" list ?this may be the start of something big and other items might start appearing or maybe the gnomes nicked them ? I always notice things as I drive by the best was waiting at traffic lights opposite a pub with a big sign over the door "a warm welcome awaits you here" and the door opened and they chucked out a drunk onto the pavement, obviously had outstayed his warm welcome !
one christmas, driving by some houses, and seeing a father christmas going through someone's skylight, went back later on, he was still there, a dummy father christmas but so funny.

I hope you don't think I was being patronising star - I am an ex-council house girl myself & the last thing I would do is mock 'social housing'.
No, no, salla. Far from it. I was just having a bit of fun.♥♥♥
