help please ... after downloading songs on i-tunes they stay in the 'recently added' folder but after a week or so they disappear ... can anyone please tell me where they go to, i've lost a few and don't know how to retrieve them, same with songs that i've added from cd's. thanks

they will be in the library. Or start typing the name in and it'll come up

Recently Added sounds like a smart playlist, so it will have rules like all tunes loaded in the last three days. After that they will disappear from the playlist, but all songs you have downloaded or copied from CD's will be in Music, under Library in the left of the iTunes page

When you add a CD to iTunes you are better making a playlist and then adding the new CD to that.
