One is a brand, the other is a corporation
BSkyB was formed in 1990 by the merger of Sky Television and British Satellite Broadcasting.

If that's the case surely Murdoch already owns B sky b
As DT says; Sky is the brand name BSkyB markets some of its services under.
He only owns part of it. 61% if i remember right.
He wants complete control of it.
he owns 38% I believe.

Again if SKY is News International, surely Rupert Murdoch already owns it, wasn't sky his baby?
I thought that anything over 50% gave complete control, but perhaps I don't understand it fully.
That's right - i got it the wrong way round - he wants to acquire the other 61%
38.9 to be pedantic
