Does anybody else love this author's books as much as I do? He's my favourite thriller writer, but I was disappointed with one of his books 'The Woman in the Fifth' for, to me, obvious reasons. What does anybody else think? Love to hear your views.

I must confess I've never heard of him, I love thrillers, but I seem to have missed this author. My favourite is Tom Bradby, I lent two of his books to a friend and they havent been returned so in a way I think she appreciated them. I'll look out for Douglas Kennedy notso....
I sat next to him on a plane once; seemed quite a nice guy, though I didn't know he'd go on to be a million seller.

And on the other side of me was Lynne Truss... ditto.

Only one failure in that row, then.

If you love a good thriller, I PROMISE you, you will love this man's books! He doesn't churn them out like Harlan Coben (another favourite of mine), so it's great when a new book comes out. He wrote In Pursuit of Happiness - one of the best books I ever read.
Don't you believe it, jno........I have it on good authority that Lynne Truss cannot speak too highly of you.......:o)

I think I'm missing something here .......
she was admiring my colon, it's true.
sorry, notasyoung, I may be wandering slightly off topic. But I did sit next to him, honest.
Her view was a little obscured, at the time........she only saw your semi-colon....

we talked about Jack Kerouac. Douglas (who's American) was a big fan.

Lynne's written comic novels but Eats Shoots and Leaves was her bestseller.

When was this jno and how come you were surrounded by brilliant authors? I really envy you, I'd love to meet Douglas Kennedy. I wrote to him once, via his publishers, but I didn't get a reply. I've just started reading his latest book The Moment.
oh, ages ago, late 1990s on a flight to LA, I think - they weren't famous at all. And I'm still not.
just checked and it was even longer ago, 1993. I remember them because they became famous but I have a suspicion they won't remember me!
Question Author
Are you an author?
no, alas... all my writing is done on AB, and it doesn't pay very well at all.
