My house - buildings / contents insurance documents asks the following -

' How many claims or losses have you or anyone living with you suffered at or away from the home in the last 5 years ''

1. I have breakdown cover from British Gas for central heating , drains , plumbing and electrics .

2. I also have breakdown cover for kitchen appliances from a different company .

3. Also I have car breakdown cover .

Would call outs for any of the 3 above , have to be declared as a claim with respect to the question relating to the house buildings / contents policy ?

Our opinions don't actually matter....the one opinion that matters is that of the insurance company, there is usually some clause about failure to disclose relevant facts stating that the insurance company reserve the right to decide what is relevant. To be safe, ask them.
It will only be relevant if you have made a claim for what the insurance is for. House contents insurance does not cover breakdown of kitchen appliances, central heating drains plumbing or electric usually. However, it is worth ringing the supplier and asking. Seriously, are you asking if car insurance claims are relevant?>>>>>no.
