I have a friend who has been starting to act odd since her husband passed away a year ago or so, she's got into the occult and gothic themes and lifestyle. Recently she told me she had bats in her attic which had got in through a gap under the gutter. She has now since blocked the hole so they can't get out and calls her "her pets" and is feeding them by bringing warm saucers full of blood from the butchers shop and she also buys various insects online ie. Moths and other flying insects to feed them and also baby frogs! Even though her attic is quite large and they seem well fed I can't help feeling sorry for the poor little mites as all creatures should have the option of freedom and spreading their wings. I have a feeling this is something to do with her loneliness and also to do with the "darkside" she has recently become involved in. If this is illegal I am also a little scared to tell the authorities as this could send my friend over the edge as she has been suicidal in the past. Please help advise me.

Bats are a protected species and she is breaking the law. She is not allowed to remove them from her loft nor is she allowed to block them in. Best get in touch with the Bat protection society and have a word with them.
Some people have very overactive imaginations! lol
do you have to get the right blood groups?

Perhaps Shereeq is from the Southern States or South America!
awww, suspended. I wanted to know what she fed the unicorns cos mine doesnt seem to like fairie dust :(
Why was this suspended. It wasn't offensive in any way. It just gave us all a laugh. And there is a chance thaat Shereeq isn't in the UK.
And also people had given good advice on the law regarding bats.
or indeed, on earth.
I don't know about the attic but she certainly sounds like she's got bats in the belfry!
Exactly Ankou.
Oh Calibax, I was just gonna post the same remark, loopy indeed!!
Shouldn't she just get in touch with Batman??
If this is a wind up Shereeq - very clever, how long did it take you to think that one up ????!

If it isn't - you're friend is breaking the law, bats are protected species and you need inform on her NOW!
Methinks I might know who Sheree really is. Some long standing abers may well agree. Animals and nature is the right category and a parrot springs to mind.
