This chart might help? http://www.topendspor...ate-resting-chart.htm Looks good to me!
My 83 year dad has a resting heart beat of 60bpm. The doctor told him as long as it is above 50 bpm its fine.
The typical healthy resting heart rate in adults is 60–80 bpm. Anything below this may be due to Bradycardia, which is where the body doesn't pump enough oxygen to the heart.
If you are concerned in any way, go and see your GP to be checked out.
Actually, I was going to say, with regards to Bradycardia, your GP would only suspect this if your heartbeat was 50bpm or lower.
As above, I am sure there is nothing to worry about. However, as I say, if you are worried at all then go and see your doctor who will reassure you.

Oh, hang on, I just read something about former athletes heart rates. Bear with me and I will try and find it...
Here you go:

" Note however that conditioned athletes often have resting heart rates far below 60 bpm. Cyclist Lance Armstrong had a resting heart rate around 32 bpm. Cyclist Miguel Indurain had a resting heart rate of 29 bpm. It is also not unusual for people doing regular exercise to have resting heart rates below 50 bpm."
God I need a Doctor, I'v just read all this and mine is always in the high 80's. lol.
It MIGHT be normal......however, if mine was 60bpm I would go to my GP and ask if I could have some blood tests for my thyroid gland (underactive) and if the tests came back normal, then I would be reassured.
