Can anyone with experience of Minis tell me whether it is a good idea to change from run flats to normal tyres and whether the ride is better....

ride/handling shouldnt alter its all about price but some alloys are designed for runflats also you would need to buy an inflation kit for ifyou get a puncture

If you have capacity for a spare, then don't bother with run flats as a general principle. They are much more expensive both to buy and to run. I believa a mini has spare wheel capacity. So change if you can.

Two of my friends run Minis with run-flats.
The ride (for a Mini) is fine. Most likely no different from standard tyres.
