Theresa May said "the Government would cut funding to any Islamic group that espoused extremist views".

Is cutting their funding the answer?

Would it not be best to infiltrate these extremists groups and weed the potential terrorists out?

If they are foreign students, then expel them and send them back to their countries.

Universities are also breeding grounds for druggies, alcoholics and slappers... as I'm sure a fair few people could trestify!
many are born here, and who on earth would want or be able to infiltrate these groups. This situation shouldn't have arisen in the first place, but successive governments have ignored this matter for so long. What made me laugh, or not, was being told to be more vigilant, how do they propose we do that i wonder. Over 7 million in the capital, and its now a hotchpotch of peoples, and more coming all the time.

/// Universities are also breeding grounds for druggies, alcoholics and slappers.///

Yes but how many of these are likely to blow up people?

Maybe 'druggies' may go off the rails at times, but .'alcoholics and slappers'????
More nonsense from a politician, then.

// that it was too easy for Muslim extremists to form groups on campuses “without anyone knowing”. //

If such groups are being formed "without anyone knowing", how, exactly, are the university authorities expected to know ? And how are the government going to know whose funding to cut ?
They are also a breeding ground for politicians who can also be dangerous.
... also for Chlamydia
They were a breeding ground for spies for a lot of years.
Same old, same old, yawn

/// Doctors and other medical professionals are to be brought within the programme for the first time and asked to help identify those "vulnerable to the risk of radicalisation".///

And who is to identify the Doctors etc?

/// which is expected to confirm that 20 of the 1,200 government-financed groups will have their funding withdrawn. The affected groups are not expected to be publicly named.///

If these 20 groups are so much a risk, why aren't they to be publicly named?
The solutiuon is very simple -

walk up to anyone who has a dark skin.

ascertain it's not the result of a nice holiday.

Ask them a simple question - "Are you, or do you plan to be in the future, a radicalised Muslim terrorist bomber-type of undesireable we don;t want over here?"

If they say "Yes", then deport them the same day - don't worry of they are UK citizens, we don't want that sort here anyway.

Problem solvoed.

Any questions?
LOL at Andy!!
^shades of Monty Python!
It doesn't surprise me that the major breeding grounds for terrorists are or were taxpayer funded institutions. As you say universities are a major source but so are prisons which we have to contribute to in our taxes.

Maybe now that students are to be charged £9000 a year there will be a falling off from these Islamic nutters. You would think that having to find such a huge sum themselves may concentrate the mind elsewhere.

As the majority are home grown and impossible to send anywhere another method should be tried. I wonder how they treat traitors in Afghanistan or Pakistan?

The foreign one should have their visas terminated and like you say dispatched pronto.
Seriously though, that's not very different from the ludicrous questions on the back of the US visa waiver card.

I love the one asking about "moral turpitude" (sounds like something you wash paintbrushes in).
