Hav'nt seen it Captin Kirk but it sounds just my cup of tea. Written by Jack Rosenthal .Got to be Good.
Heart wrenching film. :( its not sad at all to watch it over and over. I'm the same with 'To Kill a Mocking Bird.'
Its my all time John Thaw favourite, I havent got the video but everytime its rerun on tv I have to watch and blub, the bit at the end with the bycycle and the boy calls him Dad for the first time" look Dad I can ride" it gets me every time, I am now in tears thinking about it - anyway a good cry does you good sometimes.
wonder what happened to the boy actor ?
Its a very good drama, with a lot of truth in it, and a very good performance by the lovely John Thaw and the young boy who becomes his son. Who wouldn't cry....
I love weepies and Mr Tom is one of the best! Also, The Notebook makes me shed a tear!
Thanks murraymints. I was right, I have seen it. It's made me remember what a good actor John Thaw was.
