Computer sound prolem

Can hear music through speakers when comp first turned on, ie going onto my page, cannot hear tracks on videos on certain websites. ie youtube, also all my favorite sites in favorite colum have disappered.

Two problems I think!

Favourites.. press CTRL and i (assuming Internet explorer)

Volume, check the player volume for youtube in the bottom left of the video (and on other sites)
