I am travelling to Vietnam in September for 2 weeks holiday. What is the country ike? People/Customs/Culture? Is it a safe place? Is it expensive? I hope to travel to Ho Chi Minh City (Formerly Saigon)

it is safe and the people are friendly; the usual advice about keeping valuables out of sight applies. Fascinating culture - check out the Caodaist religion, where wall paintings in churches may feature Jesus, Buddha and Victor Hugo

It 's very, very cheap! I highly recommend Miss Loi's Guesthouse. It is truly awesome! Also, have a meal at Pho 2000.
