Hi there

Is it generally better to wait for late deals to try to get the cheapest flight deals or are flights to and from Ho Chi Minh City snapped up and rarely 'left over'.

Which websites are the best for just cheap flights?

Hi Alison,

Assuming you are travelling from the UK, I believe you have to fly to Bangkok and then onto HCMC. If so, i would suggest the earlier you book the better, flights are usually cheapest this way.

My hairdresser is Vietnamese and she went out via Hong Kong with BA and back with Cathay. Book sooner rather than later though.

You've not stated when you'll be flying but are you aware that direct flights from the UK start on the 9th December? Vietnam Airlines will be flying from Gatwick to Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. It might be worth checking out their fares.

I'd also suggest checking the website of Air Asia. They can fly you to Ho Chi Minh City from Stansted, via Kuala Lumpur. (From 16th December they'll also be serving Da Nang).
