hi, has anyone tried algaefix to cure green water in a pond. thankyou

my pond has 2000 gallons ,i have a filter and a 36watt uv runnung it. i put a new uv bulb in about 5 weeks ago

Sorry i haven't tried it but the UV should clear the green water but it should'nt take 5 weeks though. Our UV broke and we didn't have one at all since the end of last summer and the pond was a real pea souper but it cleared in about a week after we got a new one a couple of weeks ago. You also need good aeration to keep the water clear, so maybe you could adjust the pump so you have more water going through the waterfall/fountain. If blanket weed is causing a problem then i recommend Blagdon barley straw extract.
have you got enough of the pond surface covered with things like waterlily pads and floating plants too much sunlight means the algae grow unchecked
