How come the man who could pop his eyes out got into the semi-finals over some of the other excellent acts eg the French bloke who did an amazing dance routine?

Exactly, he makes me feel ill. Also, how the hell did that bloke with the scar face get into the semi-finals?

Also the 92 year old deaf man and his granddaughter.
Maybe they thought the Queen would like to see that as it would remind her of Fergies daughter
Could it be that, despite the word 'talent' in the title, the programme is (at least in part) more of a freak show than a talent show?

Some of the acts that were put through would be hopeless at the Royal Command Performance.
a n d How do all those dog acts get in?
I thought the two Essex sisters should have got in the final, they were clever.
The home voters are always suckers for pretty kids.

.PS (Chris Hi, certainly some freaks at SOS on Sunday eh? that wasn't you with the green hair was it?)

jem)
Apparently the woman who impersonated Britney Spears has got through despite getting three 'nos' because the program producers thought she would spice the show up! However; do't think the French bloke should really have even been allowed to enter as he doesn't even live in Britain; the clue's in the title!
Stargazer:
A large number of the acts at the Royal Command Performance are usually rubbish anyway. (Remember Larry Hagman?)

Jem:
I'd be grateful for hair of ANY colour!
Anyway, you don't need an airshow in order to find some very strange people on Southend seafront ;-)
I kept looking out for a lovely lady (apparently far too young to be a grandmother), accompanied by two beautiful and well-behaved grandchildren but, sadly, I couldn't spot you :(
Awww! & i was there, and I was looking for a 6ft George Cloony look-alike.
I saw a Ronny Corbett & a Worzel Gummidge look-alike (made me wonder)

Sorry to intrude on your thread Stargazer. x

Worzel Gummidge?

Now, if I'd smartened myself up a bit, that might have been me!
Just out of interest, Jem, which end of the seafront were you?

I wandered around between the Three Shells Beach and the Kursaal, enjoying an early pint in Tiffin's Bar Lounge (next to the Kursaal) and later one in the Britannia (also near to the Kursaal).
Chris, my daughter lives in one of those big houses behind the Kurzal so on our way we actually passed Tiffins bar, (I was in a covoy of 8 of us in the end) I thought of you but couldn't leave the group to check it out.We headed up towards the pier end, the men wanted Fish & Chips. No pub visits I'm afraid. My H prefers his local.

jem
kursaal - ah them was the days.................
i said that too. Only so much he can do.
