i had a look at the links, but i couldnt find anything to help me. all i need to do is find something to stop my browser going mad and losing control. as i said b4, i still cant compose anything without the words going all over the page.

Open Firefox go into "Tools/Options/Advanced/General" untick 'Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages'.

This should then disable caret browsing.

I don't have much experience of laptops but I do recall there was a deault setting somewhere that was cauing me problems. Sorry that's probably not a lot of help, but it makes me thin it's something simple. Don't like the touchpads much. Pity you can't disable it and plug a proper mouse in.

Why not temporary add a USB mouse; Then try looking for a fingerpad disable switch.
Failng one of those, try control panel/hardware and work your way thought looking for mouse control device settings. Try disabilng inadvertent tapping.
