My tummy feels bloated when I sit down...and sometimes when I stand up. I have cut down on my portions and started to do excersize to see if any of that helps but it doesn't. I'm a size 8-10 in clothes but my tummy does slightly buldge...I don't know if I am over reacting and i just need to tone up or what??

Just put it down to a "gut feeling"..................know what i mean?
Something in peppermints aids digestion. Many of the medicines you can buy taste of and have peppermint in them. Having had severe bloating once which required a visit to A & E. I was precribed a peppermint based medicine and told to suck something like extra strong mints. It worked.

I will also give that a go postdog! Cheers.
Most buttock clenching thread today.
Postdog.....you went to A&E with severe "bloating?"

A stands for Accident
E stands for Emergency.

can't feel that "bloating" fits either of those.
Talk to a pharmacist. The stuff I got can be bought without prescription but is is kept behind the counter, so probably a bit stronger than stuff on display. Can't remember the name of it though, sorry

Aww cheers!! :-)
Yes I went to A & E. My stomach was like a balloon, I'd been awake 36 hours with it because I could not sleep comfortably and was in discomfort anyway, and I was worried about how serious it really was. Got a problem with that?
Yes......I have.....why didn't you call your GP

A&E is just what I described..........that is why the waiting times in A&E are so long, dealing with people who are neither A or E.

An abuse of the system.
4am in the morning so couldn't see a doctor. Already rung NHS direct and advised to go, so if you do have a problem, blame them. better still vent your disgust for people who go out on the lash at the weekend and get in fights or have accidents through drink. Jeez, some people.....I pay my stamps too!!!
if postdog felt ill enough to attend AE , thats his choice. maybe they have "other health issues "
BTW at 4am, I was the only customer...
And I bet you still had to wait ;-p

E - Emergency... It could have been an emergency, especially if he was like it for 36 hours, had no sleep and stomach was like a balloon!! Also if the NHS advised him to, what is he going to say? Oh no sorry I am not allowed...I will be abusing the system..Jeez!!
yes, but at least I knew that unless something serious came in, when they called it would be me. If you're gonna be ill, early morning is a great time.
Oh and I took a cab, not an ambulance/
I don't blame you for going to A&E postdog, that does sound scary. I have seen something similar happen, and it was a lot more severe bloating.
And I know people who truly use and abuse the NHS system, and the people who get drunk and take drugs are the people who deserve your anger squad.
