I'm an ex-pilot who has flown the Boeing 757. It's a good aircraft. I liked it, and so do the others who fly it. I don't know the Airbus series, but again the pilots seem to like them. You'll find that pilots in general like the aircraft they are currently flying, and you won't find many who fly both.

I don't think either is inherently better than the other. There are some differences, of course, but neither is completely perfect nor really bad. Some airlines have bought Boeing and now have some commonality in spares and the like, while others find the same advantages by going the Airbus route. The words six and half-dozen spring to mind.

I doubt there's much difference overall in the engineering aspect either. That would be one factor in the airline's decision which to buy.
Sorry to but in here as I'm not a pilot or engineer. I have just returned from a holiday in Barcelona and in terms of overall comfort/noise/vibration etc. the Boeing 767 was best, then the 737 with the Airbus 320 lagging a long way behind.
