I sometimes feel like an outsider

When reading the answers I've noticed that people regularly use first names as well as user names. Just interested in how everyone knows each other. My first name is the same as a prolific AB user so it could be very confusing. Isn't that what user names are for? Have never knowingly met an ABer so just curious.

See what I mean? Thanks jj.
Interesting thread! Makes me feel more comfortable with being an outsider, if that maakes sense.

Nick
Im glad you put a name after your comment nick, I would fancy referring to you as "d97" or d97x7"
Possibly we should all try to give more feedback to posts. Otherwise it is easy to feel that you are a voice crying in the wilderness- speaking of which we are off to the supermarket
*wouldnt
I think I'll do it from now on Cazz. Does seem a bit more friendly doesn't it.

my real name is mccfluff, you are welcome to use it :-)
my name is anne , i have no problem in using /or being addressed by it.
I'm often amazed at the clever folk on here for working out my name! ha!
Oh and I see the clown that became pa__ul3 is back picking on sophrules, almost seems deliberate! I wonder who and why!?!

Thanks for all your answers. I enjoy comimg in here and more often than not end up having a good laugh. Like life and work you will always get the awkward one or two but you can suss them out and choose not to get involved. Hubby works nights and his dad lives with us (93 this year) so don't get out much in the evening. Son comes and "Grandad sits" if we want to go out at weekend together.
There are a load of Susan's on here so alba suits me fine. :)

Name calling I can take, but slaps and rudeness are not on :)

Jan, hope you are doing better today xx
Bakers Dozen , you are not alone in feeling this way , I was ages before I felt comfy and am now a true addict LOL

Once again apologies for the way the early part of this great post went, there will always be some who wish to stir things up. Speak again soon.

Mamya
Thanks alba. Got a bit more padding in the boot but still struggling a bit. Just got to be patient and wait for the wound to heal. Will get there slowly. :-)

Mamy - Luckily I'd gone to bed so missed any negative posts.
ach BD ignore the negatives.

First time on here I miscontrued a post/reply to one of my comments, I now fetch her gin and vodka :D (Nice lady, it's just the way the typing could be read)

OOps, not gin and vodka at the same time in the same glass....
I've been here for quite sometime, I've been part of the group that ruled the first chatterbank, (I can't even remember why or when it was taken from AB) then it returned, some members got together on other forums for chatting purposes but we all kept coming back here. I have months of the odd visit, then I'll become a regular again, so each time I come back, its more like starting all over again as a new group have taken the lead. I feel I have to get my feet back under the table!

Of course, there are quite a few of the 'old timers' still around and many new people who are very welcoming to say the least.

As for my name, those of you who know me via Facebook and Twitter already know I'm a Laura, not a Loren ( even tho someone insists it is! :p )

Mamya, what on earth happened to our friend? I'm confused now! :o/
Ah, I've got it! Thanks, Paul.
