after working perfectly for a year or so, when I now switch my Epson 1240U scanner on, my Logitech cordless optical mouse stops working and I have to use a USB one, as soon as I switch the scanner off the mouse is OK, I'm running Windows XP, has anyone any ideas please.
Thanks.John.

If suggest you use Windows XP system restore. Go to Start, Control Panel, Help and Support.

Under "Pick a task", you'll see "Undo changes to your computer using system restore".

Go to "Restore my computer to an earlier time". You'll see a calendar with some dates marked in bold. These are the dates for which restore points are available. Select a date in bold that is before the date that the scanner and mouse stopped working together, and proceed with the restore.

If it doesn't work, you can always undo the restore.
