I do quite a lot of shopping on line, but get fed up with the everlasting advertising emails that come from sources I bought something from. 'Mailwasher' helps to get rid of many of them, but it's enough to put anyone off making further purchases. Do others feel likewise and how do you deal with it?

i usually click on the unsuscribe link on the email if its from a company that i have bought from. I also make sure i click to NOT receive emails and advertising when i order.
As above, make sure you take the tick out of all boxes that say they will send you other information or pass your details onto others to do so.

also It's a good idea to have two email addresses, one for family and friends and one for use on websites, that way you won't get spam on your main address because it's not given out anywhere and if the second address gets too much spam just create another one and forget about the first one.

Perhaps I haven't been observant enough and hadn't noticed an unsubscribe link on the emails, or an option not to receive advertising. Thanks for making the point - I'll have a closer look next time.
