Whilst working in the garden last weekend, woking on my knees, I put out my right hand to prevent my self from slipping. On doing so I experienced some discomfort and on checking my hand, I found that when I tried to straighten out my fingers the tendon (extensor ??) appeared be slipping to either side of my knuckle. Graddually the pain got worse, I then attended A&E, who put on some half device with a follow through appointment to hospital

Has anyone else experienced this, if so what treatment did you recieve and how successful was it. Thanks for any replies.

No I have never had such an injury, but further treatment will depend upon the "whim" of the hand surgeon concerned. He may well give physiotherapy for a period of 3 months or he may well explore the tendon within the next week or so.
The outcome will depend upon the damage to the extensor tendon.
