My daughter gave birth to a boy 6lb.6oz at 8.30am this morning. Went into labour about 1.30am, both doing well, what a relief.

Going to see them both tonight.

Hi everybody again. :- (

I am really worried about my grandson as he is still in hospital. As some of you will know he was born last Wednesday and all seemed ok for my daughter to leave Thursday but, they found his sugar count to low and he had jaundice,

The sugar level got back to normal with medicine and they put him under lamps to cure the jaundice and after 2 days he was allowed home but had to go back the following day for test. his jaundice level had returned to high and they kept him in and his having blood test every hour, the next one at 7pm tonight.

I know jaundice can be common with new born babies, especially if they were born early, like he was was (3 weeks) but it is still worrying.

I know my daughter is concerned but she is trying to give the impression to me that all will be fine, as she knows I am a worrier.

Anybody had anything similar happening in their family, as I am really anxious?
