Help please! 39d A type of puzzle which uses pictures to represent words, names or parts of words (5) R_B_S. 54d Ancient town in Galilee where Christ is said to have performed his first miracle by changing water into wine (4) C_N_. Also, can someone please confirm that I am correct with 30d being GREBE, because if it is, it is wrong, a grebe is not a duck. Thanks for any help!

Question Author
30d Freshwater diving duck which is unable to walk on dry land. (5) G_E_E.
? Grebe
Grebe seems to be the only one that fits, but I have searched a few dictionaries, and none of them say that a grebe is a duck, so it looks as if you are right and the setter is wrong.
A GREBE is actually a diver (different order of a bird, really, though similar) but it must be the answer he's looking for.
