I am non Catholic but always remember my Catholic friends never ate meat on Fridays?

Only on Good Friday, my Mum would not allow us to eat meat so no bacon sarnies for brekkie then, we always had to have fish, I remember going with her to the 'wet' fish shop early on the GF morning, to this day, I don't have meat on Good Fridays

When my mum was alive we never ate meat on GF, she would have been horrified.

I've had sausage and bacon for breakfast this morning (courtesy of a hotel chef). Although a Catholic, I don't practice it.

we are having fish and chips very soon from the fishy, nothing better, sitting down to that and watching the tele...luvverly..:-)

The setting was absolutely beautiful and the weather was a scorcher (in fact, a wee bit too warm...but better that than cold or rainy).
