Dear Bluebottle,

A US money order is a cheque that has been purchased through a post office. Within US this is cleared funds, if you were to bank the cheque in a UK bank, you would be up for a fee (varies bank to bank) and the waiting clearance time (bank does not release the funds from your account till the US says its ok) for the cheque varies up to 30days.

Regards

Dijana
