I have been trying to munch the sage leaves this afternoon, but they are bloody horrible, very bitter. Can I put them between two slabs of Cadbury's Dairy Milk ? (:0(

tinkerbell, I'll pass this on to those suffering the flushes, thank you!
No probs glad to help!! Honest there were about 6 wearing them across the wards hahah xxxxx
"Swallow and think of England !"

I can only hope and pray that I get a chance to use that line.
menopause symptoms are very well known for fluctuating and i would suggest that any improvement experienced by using a magnet is not down to the magnet but down the natural fluctuation of the symptoms - symptoms flare up, lady uses magnet, symptoms calm down, nothing to do with magnet as it would have happened anyway. same with most other 'wonder cures'.
sorry if i sound dismissive but i learned through trial and error that these things - magnets and most, if not all, other 'cures - don't work and are not based on proper research.
however, if anyone wants to waste £20 on something like this, then who am i to argue? alternatively go and buy £20 worth of dairy milk and i guarantee you'll feel better :)
Ethandron, whilst I understand your scepticism - those of us who swear that our aches and pains are improved by magnetic bracelets etc would probably give this a try. I have severe muscle pain in my arms - attributed to statin use - and if I leave off my copper bangles, it returns with a vengeance. People do say "mind over matter" but it works for a huge number of people.
Yeah i agree box, a few natural alternatives have helped me in other medical thingys xx
boxy, i totally understand that, i'm just putting the other side of the debate. obviously, people will spend their money on whatever they believe helps, be it snake oil, copper bracelets or magnets down their knickers :)
Try Flash fghters from Holland & Barrett, found they helped a lot.

ethandron - I was 53 when I joined AB, hence DEN53.

I have already been through the hot flush stage a few years ago, and had been coping but with all the stress I have had over the past year, it has brought them all back.
stress is, i found, a major contributor to the darned things DEN, and just when you really could do without them. i honestly don't think there's an easy, quick fix...apart from reducing the stress, which of course is virtually impossible.
i really hope it all settles down again soon as i'm sure it will. best advice i can give you is be kind to yourself and reduce as much stress as you can from those parts of your life where it's possible.
