The sun is out, the roads are dry, so its time to bring the bikes out of hibernation - and as usual at this time of year my mind turns to a new addition.

I have the opportunity of picking up a 12 year old Bimota SB8R 1000cc at what appears to be a reasonable price.

I have a fair amount of experience of Italian bikes (I'm currently on my 5th Ducati) but have no experience of Bimota's.

It has a Suzuki TL 1000 engine.

Is there anything I should look out for?

yes look at getting somnething stylish like a Vespa lol
why not ask on a bimota owners forum as well http://www.bimotaforu...79d2c212d20988339d999
Look out for me.....I often mistake motorcyclists for potential road kill.
My advice is to buy an actual TL1000, preferably an R, much better, cheaper and more reliable than the Bim.
Oh and early TL's had a rotary supension jamming issue but that was quickly sorted so get a later one if you can.
