take it when you like its your holiday, you are entitled to it
You need to agree a shorter notice period and then also you should get your holiday pay in yoru final salary settlement, but if your firms holiday year started this week, as many do, you're entitled to hardly any.
It depends on when you got your new set of annual leave and what you are entitled to until you leave. If you leave part way through the year then you are only entitled to a proportion of it. Thats how they work it out where I work anyway. If you are owed 2 weeks leave then there is no reason why you can't take it.
You're right with 2 weeks if your annual leave starts in january as usually about 2.5 days a month
"take it when you like its your holiday, you are entitled to it "

This isn't correct generally- holidays have to be taken at a time to fit in with the needs of the business. However in this case the employer may prefer to let you have your wish rather than have a disgruntled employee hanging around
Ask your employer - usually people have to take any leave before their notice is up, but as others have said - when did your holiday year start, that you still have 2 weeks' leave?
Chat to your manager or HR dept. If you are sure you are entitled to 2 weeks then they might be very willing for you to take it during notice. In my experience it's people who want their untaken leave paid for that have the harder job of getting it.

The only thing I could see that might cause a refusal is if you are needed to train or handover to a replacement.
yer depending on job you do still have to give notice of holiday for them to cover it
