6 to 8 hrs and make sure that the meat is just covered with liquid to ensure it is cooked thorouly and not too dry.usually low temperature is the right setting.i usually chop the veg and saute them before putting intothe slow cooker. a tip also to tenderise the meat is to add a little lemon juice, this breaks up the fibres of the meat. good luck hopethis helps.
Good luck fluff I'm sure it will be delicious. Let us know on Monday.
If its 'ready to roast' its not for slow cooking & wont be as tasty as brisket

Who cares what you call it? You are making it for yourself not selling it. I also do 'roast' pork and lamb in my slow cooker too, so there!

now i'm even more confused, bascially i want to go to the pub sat afternoon and come back to dinner
you won't get pink in the middle beef in a slow cooker as the heat penetrates through the meat ccoking it more evenly but its still delicious I gave up normal roasts years ago in favour of potroasts as you can use the cheaper cuts that mostly have better flavour
