We have just inherited a Hotpoint WD52 washer drier and there is a slight leak from between the drum outlet and the sump drain connector. I have replaced the O-ring but there is still a slight leak. There doesn't seem to be anything for the O-ring to seat onto at the top of the drum outlet. Is there something missing or any suggestions welcome.

I would say distortion of (plastic?) due to water and heat.
Refit again with silicone sealant and leave 24hrs to cure.

Thanks AlBags. I was going to use the silicone as a last resort. It may be time for the last resort.
