My daughter took a cat off her friend because it scratched the friends toddler too often, my daughter has tried to make it work but they have a little terrier and the two did not mix, I've brought the little kitten home, she's only 12 weeks old, a dark tabby, not my favourite type as they remind me of the ferel cats we had as kids on the farm, but of course she is a sweety and has always been quite confident with me at my daughters.
But Trisha has thrown a paddy and shot off and is sitting on the fence in the gardem glaring at me through the window, and Lizzy won't let me put her down.
the kitten is cowering under the pine dresser in the dining room and spits and growls if I go near.

My eldest cat brings in mice for the younger cat, then sits and watches the younger cat playing with his catch.
Hi, dotty - I've got 5 cats (I know, I'm mad!) 2 sisters aged 15 who don't get on most of the time, then there's Gavin and her daughter (don't ask about the name - my son chose it, but she answers to it) and little Mischa who only has 3 legs. There's a sort of truce in my house - initially there were spats, but they all get on reasonably well. Yours just need time to settle down with each other - I'm sure they'll be fine in a week or so. When I go to bed now, I've got one at my feet, one curled up beside me and Mischa under the duvet, snuggled up next to me!! Good luck and persevere - you'll get there in the end, I promise! K x
Lol Dotty, I've just seen this. It will be fine. It will take a few weeks, but they'll sort it out.

I've been here 18 months and the old boy still hates ASBO (perfectly understandably) but they all get along just tickety boo now.

Change of plan, I'm not doing this because I don't want to keep Tinker, she has settled well in the last few days and would be totally fine and she would potentially become the dominant one as she already chases Trisha away who then chases Lizzie away, but my brother-in-laws granddaughter, who is 6, has been asking for a kitten for months and their local RSPCA has none available, and so he rang me last night aftyer seeing Tinker on my facebook and asked if I would consider letting him have her at his house. he has a huge detached bungalow (more like a villa!) in the middle of fields out in Scarisbricke . I checked with my daughter and she wasn't overly pleased that i was considering it, but I have sais I would let them have Tinker. I knwo she has settled quickly here and so there is no reason she shouldn't do the same there. I've told them that she isn't very affectionate at the moment and I don't think that will change, she is very very independant. Anyway, I'm taking her there later. It's another disruption for her but if she hadn't seemed to adapt to this last change so easily I wouldn't have considered uprooting her again,
