Ankle Problem

I spend all afternoon in A&E with the bf again yesterday because his ankle gave way again. It happened as he was walking and it just went, he wasn't ruuning or doing anything that would strain it. This is now the 3rd of 4th time this has happened on this ankle (twice on the other one). They think he had a minor fracture the first time he did it and have suggested pyhsio (which was supposed to start about 3 months ago but never did). So, why does his ankle keep doing this and is the physio actually going to do anything? He said it feels like it's dislocating and going back in again then it comes up huge straight away, as if he's got a tennis ball in his foot.

What would they do Sqad?
MRI scan to see why the ankle is "unstable"
Question Author
He's had an MRI already which showed he had either torn or pulled one set of ligaments on each ankle. It was then that physio was suggested, but never happened.
OK...then back to the Consultant to review and ask why the prescribed treatment was not carried out.

I will not comment further as I will be accused of "knocking " the NHS.................again;-)

Feel free to comment further Sqad. The MRI was carried out at a private hospital. :o)
