The only wires I disconnected were power wire to TV, Sky and DVD player and aerial.

all was moved to other end of room and all connections replaced, apart from aerial wire. But house does not have aerial only Sky dish, which connections are already at back of Sky box.

Anyone know why Sky no longer has signal?

Thanks

no all connections from Sky box were not removed. Only power cables unplugged. Now all plugged in and no service from Sky

Hi Ratter15 - All scart leads and other connections double checked but no connection still ;-(
Phone Sky helpline.
If you have moved the Sky box, how is it still connected to the sky dish?
From what you have posted I guess that the clue is here ;-
"all was moved to other end of room apart from aerial wire. But house does not have aerial only Sky dish, which connections are already at back of Sky box."
IF you do not have an aerial then this lead is probably the lead from the sky dish which you will have to extend and plug into the back of the Sky box.
Yes .. Connect the aerial lead that went to the Sky box to the 'input' or 'dish' socket on the back.
The aerial lead still needs to be connected to get signal from dish to sky box.
sometimes the sky aeriel connectors unscrew from the cable as you screw them onto the sky box, to the point where the connection is broken but the connector is still on the cable. .
