I thought about this and thought that when I was a kid, if some stranger came in to my house and shouted at me for being a bit naughty, I would probably have done what they said as well. Do they ever go back to these families after a few months?

oh my god, i'm glad someone else has noticed this as it's been doing my head in for ages! shes teaching kids how to pronounce things wrong! Get her out!

I trained as a Nursery Nurse/Nanny and have worked as both and I find her annoying.  Sitting children on naughty chairs and steps went out with the dark ages but it does seem to work with her but I prefer the approah of the psychologists on little angels on BBC - it seems more natural and balanced
