Is the Golly offensive enough to cause two Prospective Tory councillors to quit, or are they victims of political correctness?

Please do not just condemn them just because they are Tories, please just debate the Golly issue.

4846/AOG: C'mon, you gotta admit it looks a little strange. Why would someone consistently leap to another poster's defence at the latest stage in the thread, always agree with them completely, AND display similar pedantry combined with the same standard of written English?

More importantly, why would you get involved in fighting somebody else's battles (in the same kind of way at always the same point in the argument, always supporting them totally without reservation and without much comment on said support from AOG who is usually quite vocal in saying when people are polite or supportive)....

...Why would you do that on the -internet- of all places?
