half mayo (Hellmans light) and half low fat yoghurt.

can always a dd a little chilli in or if you can find it chipotle pepper (Brilliant stuff from Mexico) to pep it up a little and great in sarnies.

funny enough there was just such a recipe on This morning cc
no-fat Greek yoghurt with ground mustard seeds..

These are more alternative salad dressings:-

Creamy Ranch Dressing

2tbs cottage cheese
2tsp Parmesan
1 1/2 tsp yogurt
1tsp lemon juice
1 tsp water
1 shallot, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
1/2 tsp basil, finely chopped
1/2 tsp oregano, finely chopped
Salt & pepper

Mix it all up.

Roast Garlic & Lemon Dressing

1 whole head of garlic roasted in foil for 45 minutes
3tbs lemon juice
1tbs oil
1 tbs water
2 tbs parsley, finely chopped
Salt and pepper

Squeeze garlic from skins into a bowl mash with a fork and add all other ingredients. Can be done in a mini food processor.

Mayo Alternative

175g Fat free fromage frais
2 tbs cider vinegar
1tbs lemon juice
1/4 tsp turmeric
2 tsp sugar
Salt & pepper

Mix it all together.

Asian style dressing

1tbs fish sauce
1tbs brown sugar
1tbs lime or lemon juice
1 chilli, deseeded and finely chopped

Mix everything together and toss with shredded vegetables, rice noodles and shredded cooked chicken.
DT, do you know where I could get chipotle pepper from, do supermarkets do it?
I love it and what to use at home but I cannot find it anywhere!

I agree with the natural yogurt as an alternative, I've had it with lemon, tarragon and chicken in sanie and it was lovely.
Discovery do a Chipotle paste which can be found in the World Food aisle of most surpermarkets amongst the Tex Mex stuff.
