Hello! I saw a really cheap MP4 player on ebay ( namely, 60 incl.shipping : MP4 player with 256MB memory and memory card slot, 2.5'' TFT screen, rechargeable Li Ion battery...) Frankly, I know nothing about these things, and don't even own an MP3 player. I have a few questions about it :

1 - Would I be able to view films that I have saved on my computer ? And would I need to somehow convert them into a different format first ?

2 - I'm guessing I would need a memory card reader to save the files to the memory card first. Can you do that with any card reader, or do you need a special kind that will allow you to save to the card as well as read from it ?

3 - Do you think it is a generally good idea to get this player, as a fun gadget, bearing in mind I'm not expecting top quality for this price ? I would appreciate any advice ! Thank you.

1 - sounds like you may need an mp4 converter like with sony's psp.these only cost 15 ish.

2 - 256Mb memory is very small and would fit less than an hour of video on at best.

3 - as long as you only want to watch small vid files then go for it !
