Hey guys,

Ok so as some of you saw from my post yesterday, I had a pretty nasty crash on Tuesday, luckily only damaging my arm and knees, but have been very much doing the positive thing and thinking at least I got out!

Today went and collect everything from the car a is a write off, which was tougher then I thought and upset me a bit seeing it again. On getting home, my fiance has had a text from his ex saying in no circumstances am I to ever drive a car with either of her children in it again.

Baring in mind when she has meetings late on the weekdays we have them and they have to be collected from school or my OH is running late from work, I go and pick them up.
It hurt alot! Had me in tears. Ok if I had caused it then maybe, but it was not my fault at all and that can be seen from pictures I have taken, plus what I have told the police.

Sorry, just really got to me and thought it was pretty harsh! :-(

That does seem a bit extreme, particularly when you say that it was the other guy's fault. How did the ex find out?
Need your OH to tell his ex to back off with inflammatory crap.

And to tell her that you were not the cause as she will find out when it comes out in the wash re the insurance |(and police?)

Presume that it has been reported - if it hasnt you should,,,,,,
VERY harsh, wiggal. Talk about adding insult to injury..... Chin up.
Dont let it get to you, shes just angry and scared that the kids could have been hurt, and is lashing out without thinking.

Hopefully your other half has put her straight saying your not some kind of speed demon, hell bent on trying to crash as many cars as possible.

Hopefully she'll realise she acted without thinking and apologise,

Anyway hope you get better soon

We were meant to have the kids on Tuesday evening as we do every week, but he had text her to say we couldnt as I had had an accident and was going to the hospital, to which she replied 'OK'.

He has text her back asking what she would say then if he had been driving? Or as it was an accident, if it had been her in the car, her dad would have gone round to see the bloke to make sure he admitted he was guilty!

He has also said that if anymore is said, he will bring up that he hopes her mum wont be driving his kids round anymore baring in mind she span her car on the motor way.

She went quiet after he text her back saying what would of happened if he had been driving and that it was not my fault at all so she was out of order, no chance of an apology though!
keep out of it - sounds like a family spat brewing......and may have been simmering there for somewhile. You were just the catalyst
I agree with jack, while you were thinking 'it could have been alot worse' she was probably thinking 'it could have been my children in there' they are the closest things to her you arent, she has txt before thinking about it. Give her time she will come round.
Question Author
Not a family spat as such, we don't talk to her, she doesn't talk to us, has been that way quite happily for the bet part of the last year, which is why it came as such a smack in the face today!

She doesnt want me to drive them, I wont do, but when she has a meeting and needs them picked up from school, she can explain to them why they cant see their dad!
yep she will soon come begging
wiggal, don't let it get to you!....by the sound of things, she's going to need you before you need her!............
