Hi,

Does anyone know whether you can send a recorded/special delievery letter to a P.O BOX address..???

Yes, I am pretty certain. The letter will not be delivered into the box but instead a card will be left there (similar to the one you get if not at home) and then the box renter can collect the post from the post office upon signing for it.

Karl is assuming that the 'box' actually physically exists. In most cases it's just a way of hiding an address. So, when the sorting office get mail addressed to 'Acme Products, PO Box 237, Sometown' they automatically treat it as mail for the actual address. e.g. Acme Products, 14a Acacia Crescent, Sometown. The postman will deliver the mail for both addresses to the same house at the same time. If he has a recorded or special delivery package he will treat it exactly the same, irrespective of the address used.

So, yes, you can send a recorded/special delivery package to a PO Box. It will get there in exactly the same way as if it was sent to the 'real' address.
