The lovely lady with the super-duper camera sent me the pictures of the northern lights, from my trip to the arctic. my camera didnt pick it up so im eternally gratful to her for capturing these awesome pictures for me to treasure. as promised I'm sharing some of them with you.

thanks marval. we didn't dare to hope too much as so many people don't see them when they go. I feel so lucky
i am so jealous! It's my lifelong dream to see them. Did you have to go each night or were you lucky? Was it a long way from where you were staying?

we stayed in a wilderness cabin as we were on a 3 day husky safari. we saw them on our first night. we were in Kiruna in North Sweden. it is best to go out of any towns/cities as you won't see them because of light pollution
I would love to see them for myself. I watched a TV programme with Joanna Lumley in it somewhere in Sweden, it was spectacular. Thanks for sharing them jubie

forgot to say that it was perfect conditions on that first night. clear skies etc. it was -33 degrees, not sure if the temperature makes any difference!

you never know bloomwood, I thought it was something that I could only dream of and then thanks to a friend who convinced me I wasn't too old to go husky sledding!! off we went and the rest history!
Ah yes, the aurora are wonderful to behold. I've only ever seen them from the North of Scotland - your view must have been spectacular...

It was MarkRae. We were so lucky to see them and have a lady with us who actually had a camera that captured them. it's so nice to have pictures to keep.
