Was this council right to offer £1,000 compensation to this couple, just because there happened to be a demonstration near to their marriage venue?

Why is it that the EDL are always reported as the baddies? take this passage,

/// 550 protesters from the far-Right EDL battled 100 demonstrators from United Against Fascism.///

It was automatically assumed that the EDL 'battled' the UAF, when most likely it was the UAF that turned out to do the 'battling', and why is it that the UAF are not labelled the far Left?

Take a look at the two photos who would you rather face on a dark night photo one or photo two?

Loose

It's only the stuff I read in the papers and evidence from court cases, and checking out which leading members of the EDL have links with the BNP and formerly the NF.

Bit of light reading:

And have a look at the embedded video. Bit of a jaw-dropper.

I have witnessed EDL/UAF marches in a busy city centre when the groups met right outside a friends aprtment!

The EDL have a reputation of being racist thugs which often is deserved however on this occasion it was the UAF being the main aggressors and within the UAF group the main problem was coming from groups of young asian males who were obviously there to cause trouble and fight with the EDL!

Had certain EDL members found a member of the UAF/asian males down a street on their own then there's no doubt that the indvidual would have ended up in hospital or dead, however had it been the other way round then the outcome would ahve been exactly the same so how can you differentiate between the 2 groups!

/// i personally knew a hell of a lot of people involved in the NF..... the pics i saw reminded me of them and of pics ive seen of KKK.///

I think you are exaggerating again, the photo I provided of members of the EDL are nothing like the BNP and least of all like the KKK. (see photos)

Yet that photo of the UAF are very scary, imagine meeting up with them down a dark alleyway, with their masks and hooded tops, I think the majority would find them very scary.

Indeed.

The EDL are an unpleasant bunch – of that there is no doubt. But what about Unite Against Fascism [UAF]?

Did you catch the comment in the Guardian documentary that, “The Police made 73 arrests that day, 54 of them UAF supporters”? That means that 19 EDL supporters where arrested. Hmmm....

UAF are equally, if not more unpleasant that the EDL. There was a recent 'Dispatches' Channel 4 documentary about both groups and neither of them came out smelling of roses.

^^^ 'Combat 18'?

The 'combat' part is self explanatory. The 1 and the 8 refer to the alphabetical positions of the letters A and H – referring to Adolph Hitler.
