this lot need to decide on their sales policy....

i was at the till the other day and was asked if i needed a bag, of course i did i had many items and was told that it would cost 5p,

that sounds remarkably good value i thought , so said so and asked for a pounds worth (20),

the woman on the till refused to do the deal, i cant see the problem....

I've no issue with paying for them, although they don't cost the supermarkets much. The issue I have is with purporting to be a green issue when shops happily sell rolls of plastic bags and people happily buy them!!
why dont we just do what the Irish do - put a tax on them which I believe is Euro 0.25 per bag. It cut plastic bag consumption by nearly 95% in the first six months after introduction.

Probably more benefit than debranding cig packs....
